This device is a homemade 200A 3-phase MIG welder.
- the 3-phase transformer self wounded
- bridge rectifier halt-steered
- thyristor driver (by Patryk 84)
- impedance coil on core 20cm2
- feeder (on the photo)
The first tests were made on a 0,8 wire – the max result was 140A, which was caused by low speed of the wire (6m/minute). After changing the wire into 1,2mm, the maximum current reached 180-190A. The tension regulation is from 0 to 35V DC.
The CO2 bottle with the reducer and the euro socket is new, but the aluminum housing was really cheap.
