Hi all,
As the first part of my master thesis, I am supposed to model a magnetron to convert dc to microwave energy, but don't know how to begin, or which software to use. Can anyone help me out because I am really stacked and confused.
Thank you.

A brief google search under "magnetron simulation" will give you a first idea which tools have been previously used for similar projects (e.g. CST). It also clarifies about the problem complexity, which might be over your head.
