microprocessor in mobile

guys i need your advise on how can i power up my mobile vaccum.

is it possible to power a powerful vaccum with batteries?

how long can a battery supply a vaccum?

any advise for my project. i dnt have alot of experience in dealing with vaccum.

it is self driven using a microprocessor and alot of sensor around it.

im planing to use pic16F877. using interupts for faster response.

any advise on what sensor to use?

how can i power this up?

hope to hear for u soon

thanks..

Almost everything can powered of betteries and quite a lot depends on powere requirement.
What kind of vaccum level (in TORRs) are you going to achieve?

Do you require very accurate sensor, something like this: **broken link removed**

I have design one of this, but the vacuum you must use is the one used for cars or the portable ones.

It is only powered by 12V.

If you want to outsource, PM me.

the sensors are needed in obstacle detection...

i would like to use cheap sensors.. like a phototransistor...

can it be done?

or just simple switch?

Sonars and IR are great for obstacle detection..i guess

i think phototransistor + ir emitter can do.
