I know microprocessor is an Integrated Circuit. But by definition a circuit comprises of various electrical components like resistors, capacitors while a system comprises of subsystems. How is microprocessor a circuit when it has different sub blocks like registers, ALU block. Please help

Well, in my view, every system or sub-system is also comprises of circuits .. Consider an example of your computer memory, a computer memory comprises of many flip-flops and shift-registers etc .. Similarly, a microprocessor is a system (which is also a circuit i.e. Integrated circuit) which contains memory unit(Ram and Rom), ALUs, I/O blocks etc .. In addition, an Integrated circuit integrates (or interconnects/join) many other circuits ..
