Hello,

I am planning to analyze breathing pattern using a microphone. I have MSP430F5438A Experimental board. I found that the board itself has a microphone. I am looking for any documentation available about how to use the microphone from the board. I did a little bit of research but didn't find details other than the user guide for the board. I appreciate any recommendation.

You forgot to tell the development kit specification, manufacturer and exact type. I guess the microphone is also specified in the shipped documents.

I see, it's MSP-EXP430F5438. The user guide schematic and board photo show an industry standard two terminal electret microphone, as you can buy at any DIY electronic store around the corner.

I actually don't get the point. So the board has the microphone already if I understand correctly the user guide. I am looking for any documentation about how to use the microphone. Please let me know if you have idea about it.

What do you mean with
Please clarify:
* hardware. Electrical connections, extension cable, application at the patient, and so on.
* or software? Setup, sampling, filtering, signal analysis...

Did you notice the example software functions voice recorder and FFT? You can use the source as a template for your own audio applications.
