Microcontroller Broken - Can't synchronize with the device

broken pins of microcontroller

I hav a development board with ATmega 128 and i want to program other MCU with it, I put wires on bord to pins MISO MOSI si SCLK (SPI program) and connect with te MCU Atmega16. It works a very short time, i cant write and erase a program a few times. And the MCU is borken or loked , i don't know. I recieve the messafe Can't syncronyze with the device. What is the problem ?
Pls help me

Try connecting a 2 Mhz crystal (Any other crystal below 16 Mhz will do ) to the oscillator pins of the chip bieng programmed and then try. Good luck.

i used an 10Meg Hz crystal..

Most Probably you have messedup with fuse bits, (disabling serial programming)

BTW what programmer are you using for programming

i dosem't work to the fuse bits, I just erased and wrote de MCU... It can be the current on this pins ?

Yes..you are correct. 10 Mhz will do the work. If didnt work try any other crystal below that. After connecting the crystal, you have to erase the chip, program it with the default fuses and then the chip is reday for next programming. Good luck.
