(NOTE: I posted this in the Microchip forums a couple of days ago but no response so far - hoping for better luck here.)
I'm using an MICRF114 for a custom device (that also has a MICRF230 as a receiver and an ESP32 as the MCU - the receive side works perfectly) but I'm having issues getting the MICRF114 to transmit.
The circuit I'm using is that from the MICRF114 datasheet.
I can see on my scope that the MCU is sending out the correct signals to the MICRF114 to wake up the device (no CAL or CFG so the start bit, 2 '0's and then the pause for the wake up). I see a short 'blip' on the crystal pin 6 (and on the crystal pin that is not ground) but then nothing. The single pulse occurs very soon after the rising SCK signal for the CFG bit
It is as though the MICRF114 is trying to kick off the oscillation but nothing is happening.
Any suggestions as to what to try next?
