I would like to build a light only metronome that is controlled by a sensor such as a drum trigger.
1-to turn it on,you tap the trigger once
2-to set the meter you tap it twice more.It reads the distance between the taps
and flashes at that interval
3-tapping the trigger not only sets the meter but also position of the meter
4-won´t read taps closer than 1/4 of a second or more than 2 seconds apart
5-if more than two taps are introduced it will only read the last two
6-if not touched for more than 5 min. it shuts off, also manual off
7-battery powered
9-small as possible
I would like the light, controlled by this metronome, to be remote with a distance of 4 meters. As small as possible but visible under low light situations.battery powered.

I have no idea if this is possible, but to a non electronics guy,the concept sounds simple.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice offered.
