Mentor IC Statoin in IC Studio

When i make a layout view in icstudio and it is opened with icstation the icstation window is quit different than the i open from a terminal (ic command) namely i can't view the side pannel
any one can tell how to view the side panel in icstation??!!!
 

fixed by returning to the classic view by adding this env. variable
export MGC_ICSTD_CLASSIC_APPS=ture
but the device selection sucks
