mentor graphics eldo hangs in Fedora core 3

Hello,
I have installed mentor graphics tool in ferdora core 3. However when i try to run some simulations the software just hangs after printing out a list of .so files and then this

there are no error messages whatsoever. No license request fails either. The license resides on a remote license server. However other tools like modelsim, whose licenses also reside on a (different ) remote server, work. Therefore it is unlikely to be a network problem.

Has anyone faced a similar problem? Can anyone suggest a solution?

some linux platforms are not supported officially by Eldo.
which version of Eldo (v6.???) do you have ?
