I want to measure an RF power with a power detector. My power detector will give the corresponding RF power in 0.5 to 2.1Volt. But the problem is RF power is pulsed. It have a ON time of 0.5us with a frequency 585.5Hz. Should i use a sample and hold circuit ? or i can use some high speed amplifier? any other method. I can find out the rising edge of each RF pulse.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If the response of your power sensor is fast enough, you may connect it to an oscilloscope and read the peak from the oscilloscope. What type of power detector do you have (thermistor, biased or zero-biased diode, etc)?
