Find the zero volts connection on the main smoothing capacitor in the Power Supply.
Temporarily solder a piece of single insulated wire to this point, long enough to reach to where your input and Pre-Amplifier output connectors are, and use it for your 'Scope ground clip.
Don't forget to remove this wire after you have completed your tests!
Otherwise you could use short tails between a 1/4" Jack Plug and a chassis socket to then be able to access your signal on the exposed socket as your test point and ground.
hope this assists, with many different Amplifiers over some 50 Years of testing, I have created a collection of adapters to do what you are asking about and sometimes still have to make up yet another........
