The meter shows right speed. It is recommended to test the measurement of fuel consumption by several refuellings to full and comparison of what the distributor and the system show.
Mixed drive: fuel – gas:

Real consumption – warming up the engine, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h, braking and again acceleration, engine cooling, etc.

When the car is parked, you can read in the display what you can see on the screen. But if speed is greater than 0 then the display shows the fuel consumption per hour, speed and instantaneous fuel consumption, everything is refreshed every 2 seconds.
The picture below shows the amplifier of fuel flowmeter signal, placed directly at the flowmeter, next to the ignition system. It converts the sinusoidal signal immediately to the rectangular and then sends it by a shielded cable to the microprocessor in the cockpit.

View of the system with the display from the inside.

Some modification have to be made.

This picture shows the flowmeter and the signal amplifier in the upper right corner.

The speed sensor.
