Measure Voltage with scope

Hi,
See attached, i want to measure the voltage signal between A to B with scope , i have a conventianal scope (not floating).
The hook of the probe of the scope i connect to A, Where do i need to connect the ground of the probe ? to B?

Hi,
signal between A and B can be phrased as: voltage of A with respect to B.

So if the scope is connected to A then there is the only chance to connect the scope_gnd to B.
Otherwise the scope can not know what "B" means.

If yor scope is not floating, then you A as well as B needs to be floating.
