Measure Voltage with scope

Hi,
See attached, i want to measure the voltage signal between A to B with scope , i have a conventianal scope (not floating).
The hook of the probe of the scope i connect to A, Where do i need to connect the ground of the probe ? to B?

Hi,
signal between A and B can be phrased as: voltage of A with respect to B.

So if the scope is connected to A then there is the only chance to connect the scope_gnd to B.
Otherwise the scope can not know what "B" means.

If yor scope is not floating, then you A as well as B needs to be floating.

AND, as you don't state the voltage your expecting to see ensure the voltage your measuring with your scope is within acceptable limits of the Scope and Probe before connecting it or boom
