Measure output VCO frequency

Hi all!
i have tune frequency of VCO 2100 MHz.But i want measure output frequecy of VCO.How the method to measure output frequency of VCO?

I want measure VCO frequency and feedback to microcontroller.What is the IC that can measure this frequency ?

Take a look at this reference. It looks like you will need more than just one IC.
