meaning of placeable cells

Hi,

what is meant by placeable cells in physical design?
are these gates that will go through P&R?
 

I think you are referring to standard cells, but that is a pretty weird terminology.

Thanks. I am not sure if I am referring to standard cells since I don't know what placeable cells mean. Anyway, for now, I will assume that is what it means
