In this Application Note, section 3.1,

Can someone help me to understand the meaning of "magnitude of phase angle of the load" in simple terms?

Phase angle between Rx and Tx or what does phase angle of the load mean?
 

"limitation on the magnitude of phase angle of the load" is a long winded way to say that the load shall be resistive with maximal +/- 3° phase devitation. Sacred fussiness!
 

Phase angle can mean phase between two nodes in a circuit. Could be just
at load and V, I as Klaus points out, or between V between two nodes, such
as phase angle thru an amplifier circuit. Or between V at one node and I at
another. Its a relative observation/measurement. Very useful in control systems
stability analysis, design of low distortion circuits, in communications for
pulse response........
