maximum of two 0-10 V signals

You need two OPs, two diodes, one resistor. I'm sure, you can figure it out.
 

Some time ago my mind was bugged by the same problem.

but these both circuits take the minimum - I want maximum
( I checked with electronic workbench )
 

just reverse the polarity of the diodes in the circuit shown to get the maximum value.
