Can anybody help to solve this problem ??
A HeNe laser has a mirror separation of 0.5m. Given that the width of the gain curve 1500 Mhz, estimate the maximum number of mode frequencies possible in
(a) a confocal cavity (r1=r2=L)
(b) a cavity where r1=r2=2L.

Please help !

it seems to me (shown in your 3 posts) that you have not made your studies and now you are trying to recover the lost time asking for solutions to problems you were given at...
I think it would be more helpful for you if you will go back to your books and start studying them!

 Actually not, I have been studying but laser is killing me, this book is very old. And I dont want to search every topics from other books.
