First u go through the IEEE paper by Alamouti .

"A Simple Transmit Diversity Technique for Wireless Communications" IEEE October 1998

It ll give you basic idea of implementing the Alamouti scheme.

in the simulation of alamouti using bpsk, i compare the performance between 2Tx x 1Rx and 2Tx x 2Rx

of course, at the same BER the second is better in SNR effect then the first
but i query that why the simulation of the second end at 7dB while the first is extended to 10dB?

Do you have enough samples to generate the BER calculation? For the 2TX-2RX simulation at about 7dB SNR the BER is about 10^-4. To simulate this BER you should have at least N = 10/Pb = 10 / (10^-4) = 10^5 samples (trials).

As the BER gets smaller the number of trials required increases. Without enough trials you may not get any errors from the simulation. This is true for any BER simulation.

Hi

when u implement an ALAMOUTI technique u need to estimate the channel. each path has a complex channel responce 'h'

the received signal at the 1st receiver anntenna is :
r1 = h1*s1 + h2*s2 + n1


where s1 and s2 are the symbols transmitted. and n1 is awgn

how do i estimate this channel responce 'h1' and 'h2' for the idependent channel paths?
