Hi,
I have a problem regarding MATLAB 7 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 (both Home and Professional Editions). When I open MATLAB it immediately closes after the initialization is complete. I have tried installing the same set of images on two PCs and a Notebook. All of these exibit the same behaviour.

What could be wrong?

Thanks in advance
Slayerza

Ok,
After I have installed the software the spalsh screen displays Licence Number : 0
Is this correct?

Cheers

which processor do you use?
if you use AMD 64 it is quite normal to not work properly

you can install MATLAB 6.5
There is no different betweent 6.5 and 7.0

I worked with Matlab 7 and XP SP2 and I had no problems what so ever ........ did you setup Matlab 6.5 befor ?? did it work ?

Ty these things out: get a new copy of the cd's, check your license.
I have no problems with matlab 7 on my box.
If the problem occurs in only one try this:
Delite the matlab folder from the application data folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Application Data and :
C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Local Settings\Application Data
del the matlab reg keys from hkcu\software...
reboot and try agein ;)
