How to program this devise ?

The MCU is a : ATMega32-16PI, Microcontroller (PDIP-40)

https://www.masterkit.ru/images/magazines/master_kit_2_RD_1_06.gif
As you can see MCU is directly connected to the RS 232.

What software is need to burn a complied program (.hex) and what you recommend as a compiler. (iv never used atmel MCUs)

--------------------------------

Iv done some research and found that "RS 232 <> USB convener " is way expensive , so i need to kick start my old PC anyway.
Iv got a old RS232 but it does not fit. It is like extension or something, it works only 1 way. So can i just wire it to DEV board ?

Thank you !
Waiting for replies. . . .

Microcon555 has rightly pointed and then you may use Adam Dybkovsky ISP software for programming the chip

during the programming phase, remove the LCD part of it.

Ok...

So i need to disconnect LCD contacts to use PD0* pins for programming.

Is there any way to use existing contacts (RS 232) to burn a program ?

Btw. I couldn't find " Adam Dybkovsky ISP software " Can someone help me out ? Direct link would be nice.

Can i use " Image Craft C" as a c compiler ?

Thank You !

Thank you very much.

Can i just take the chip out ?
and connect PD1...PD3, RES, and voltage to chip ?

Anyways ill see what i can do ?

Added after 1 hours 11 minutes:

-------later-------

With the dev board theses some kind of software...

Its in Russian so i cant see the text ( iv tried all the language packs ), but the good part is that i can understand Russian a little ...

I found that in software folder there is a program called flasher and little code file something like hex.
ill try to compile something visible(i can see working) with flowcode, and try to burn it to chip.

Re: Masterkit a8036

you might even install with English we use English as we can't manage Russian. i have a doc file that i downloaded some time back and saved from dybkowsky site.
It might be of some help to you, thus attached. The best approach appears to be to load a file keeping the chip in breadboard for the first time.
later you may wire some series resistors in the actual path of the 4 or 5 wires used for iSP. there after if you can bring them to a socket , perhaps you can connect them to the ISP cable and program the chip while in site. i sahll try to send aschematic to clearly indicate what i tried to say here.

All the best
