make driver on LPT (help me)

Hi all

i want to build printer driver to make interface with machin

how can i do that

i can build interface card with lpt using PIC microcontroller

but i want to use print command to send the data of color to parallel port
i can use VB6 so how can i start

plz help me

hi! sir i have worked on LPT port, i made a loader using a printer hardware which use to detect the object's X position commming from coveyer belt, then dects it's Y position from the other stepper motor moving fwd and backwrd all this was done through a LPT port and c++ and a self designed hardware, cuz at tht time i dint know abt PIC programmer,well know i do. :). well i hope u get the idea.

oka now comming to ur question, i didnt understand abt the line u said tht send a colour through print command. sir kndly explain ur question in brief,so i may able to help u out.

i will explain what i want to do exactly

i want :


1- build a software with VB6 :this software can open picture file (jpg,bmb....)
2- this software has PRINT BUTTOM when i press it (then the picture which is opend )
it interpret this picture into data(i think the data contain the position and the color of the picture)

3- i want this data to flow through LPT port

4- i will build interface card on LPT to take this data and make control on machine
this machine like printer i will design it

i hope you understand what i what to do
