Hi, I am a novice in analog/rfic design.
Can anybody explain the difference between .m file and .scs file in Cadence spectre?

I have designed and simulated my circuits with .m model files so far. But, today another class I have to use .scs model files.

Why they are different??

Very curious.. )

.scs model files are for spectre.

Um...
I used SpectreS with .m file.
...
Is that the difference?

.m file for spectreS and .scs for spectre?

Both spectre and spectreS use the same model file.
.m file may be for hspice, or as an include file for the .scs file.

Is the question does spectre operate different by using a different extension *.m instead of *.scs for model files?
