hi,

i need the implementation of LZ77/78 algorithm on FPGA with VHDL Language.

thanks,

For IP shopping lists you are better off trying on opencores.org, maybe there's something you can use. And that "better off" is purely a relative measure.

And what's so awesome about opencores:

that opencores project page said:
Created: Jun 14, 2005
Updated: Dec 20, 2009
...
Development status: Alpha

But hey, at least it's not pre-alpha. XD

Heheh, fair enough. I guess my beef with opencores isn't so much the monetary cost, because as you point out it's free. Buuuut so far whenever I needed some functionality, and there was something that was a close enough match to try it ... invariably it sucked pretty bad. But hey, it was free, so I cannot complain to the author. All I can do is learn that for the stuff I need opencores is not the location to find solutions.

Ive never used anything off opencores mainly for its reputation for poor code and incomplete designs, with uncontactable authors. But when you work for a company you have the luxury of buying a core from a company via a contract, so there is some come back if it doesnt work.
