Try and get your max IM current to 250uA...to give you most resolution.
The IM current miltiplied by the resistor connected to it...is the maximum voltage (averaged) that you can possibly get from the sense resistor at mains peak....(ie, not accounting for the extra current peak due to the fsw peak)
.....so do a PFC calc as a boost converter at mains peak input voltage.........do it at that static case....then everything follows from there.
Beware your switching frequency resistor......it gets used in the setting of the max IM...so make sure you set it so that you can achieve IM = 250uA.

woops sorry, LT1249 is fixed freq..i was thinking of the LT1248
