Hi all,
I have designed a 2A solar powered 12volt SLA battery charger using LT3652(From Linear Technology- datasheet- **broken link removed** ). My panel is 16Watts(Vmp 16.8 and max current1.45A). I have made a 2 layer PCB and followed the same reference design given by LT. However during sunny days when the the panel delivers max current the chip is heating up a lot and going to thermal foldback mode quickly. Though i havedesigned it for 2Amp application, its entering into to shutdown when the the current goes above 700mA!!!!
I will be highly thankful for your suggestions and advises...
