i get very helpful guidances from this forum for my project "initialing 7 inch lcd & displaying gif files on it "
my new problem is choosing between lpc1788 nxp arm cortex & stm32f103zet6 st arm cortex mcu
please guide me for having best choise
st has lower price & better for industrial & noisy places
nxp good samples & initialing notes & internal EEPROM(i need this in my project )
whats your opinion ?can st inital 7 inch lcd without any other hardware peice?
are there enough samples and notes for initialng LCD with stm32f103zet6 ?simple and adobtable!
project has some other parts and my prefer is driving without any external ic and without so much code writing and calculating
tnks every body

hi every body
also im interesting to know benefits of driving lcd with mcu's internal lcd controller &benefits of driving it with external ic like sd1963

You have given your answer your own.
As you told that ST's controller's are cheaper and best in industry. Then if your product/project is cost sensitive then go for cheaper.
Here is link can help you for ST controller.

really tnks embpic
but i'm in doubt about ability of initialing stm32 as simple as i can initial lpc
as i said lpc1788 has tens of technical notes and sample codes for initialing tft lcd's
but i cant find a simple driving tft lcd project/sample with comments for stm32
every note i saw drive lcd with ssd1963 , not directly!
---
as i checked ssd1963 initialing schematic ,that used a back light driver ic for 7 inch lcd's
has lpc1788 or stm32f103 internaly this ?
thank every body

Actually every lcd have there own lcd controller which handles all graphics related function and data handles.
As you can see this is also lcd controller. Most of the time it is on backside pcb of glcd.

STM actually offers an inexpensive development board with a smaller format LCD which might be a good starting point to migrate to a large format.

Discovery kit for STM32 F429/439 lines - with STM32F429ZI MCU and QVGA LCD

I purchased a couple of the above and they are quit inexpensive, $22 USD.

In any event you can download the schematics and example code as a starting point for your project regardless of whether or not you purchase the Discovery board.

Most of STM's Discovery line of development boards are in the $8 to $15 range and including onboard JTAG programmer/debugger and typically several peripheral devices such as, gyroscopes, accelerometers, etc. A good value for the money.

i need to driving a 7 inch lcd with this mcu's and Preferably without any extra pieces
i find samples and schematic for lpc one but all of the samples & codes for stm32f103xx used ssd1963 and i want to know why? why they dont drive lcd directly ? whats benefits of driving with ssd1963 compared with directly driving ? originaly can stm32f103 do this directly?
thanks for your kindly helps
