New columns are expensive so I wanted to repair some old second hand. I found two old columns without legs, all beat up, with scratches, without upper suspension.
First I exchange condensers at points. Next, remove speakers membranes but coils and lower spring stay - they were fine so there was no need to exchange them. Membranes came from internet auction. Membranes assembly for 4 speakers taken 2 hours + 36 for glue dry. Coils are centered by print paper. Helpful was article about speakers and repair them.
I've removed paint from Columns casing. Then I fill all empty spaces by spatula with glass fibre. At the end grind by sandpaper.
Fornir instead PCV ( it looks much better) . Glue by Pattex. After the glue had dry you need cut material and grind it by sandpaper. The same glue i used for membranes. At the end you need to remember to cover by transparent lacquer, I used brush couse don't have pistol.
Speakers are powered by Unitra WS304S.
