I would like to calculate the losses of this buck converter.
But I don't know what current I should use for the body diode. Does anyone know?

Hi,

I don´t download a 4.6MBytes picture that easily could be reduced to 40kBytes without losing any thread related informaton.
Tools to do so are on every PC, every cell phone and even online.

Will you be doing this with a spice simulation ? An excellent way
of doing this. You will need spice models for the diodes, mosfets,
L and C if you can get them.

Simetrix, LTC Spice, Cadence Pspice a few of the choices.

Regards, Dana.

Presume T1 body diode will be never forward biased, T2 body diode only for a short time when T1 and T2 are both off.
=> Depends on driver timing

Current is variable and so is efficiency. Usually a graph of
eff% vs load and line is given.

Component selection would proceed from next level
assembly V, I ranges, what customer demands for
those plus efficiency and dynamic attributes. Or what
you mean to sell (some of) them on.

...use the above...it wil tell all switching and conduction losses.
Use a low side fet with lower Qgd than Qgs.
