I'm looking for voice comprsion hardware coder design.
- i want to biuld digital recorder. The main idea is to build standalone portable coder but any sugesstion (based on practice) will be usefull.

Your cheapest HW coder may actually be a SW coder implemented on a DSP. Check out TI C5000 series, I know they are used for voice coders. You might even find most of the coder SW freely available.

If you are looking at mass production, you can usually convert your DSP based design to ASIC.
