Re: Bright LED

Hmm is it possible to do this with regular LED's? I would say this should be at least Laser. I think laser module could be like 4 - 7 mW, like HLDPM12-655-3.

Makri,

try laser torch for transmission..it's cheap..... esle use RF a littlr expernsive but good range.

Bright LED

Friend, LED is not possible to have light beam (spot) for 1 KM of communication distance. My suggestion is Laser Diode with a minimum power of 8 mW. The enviromental factors (day, night, rain, sunny ... )do affect the communication distance.

Re: Bright LED

Hi, Its possible no matter what people tell you. The dutch magazine Elektuur had a design in the past that used IR LED's and FM modulation upto a distance of 1 KM they used CAR headlights to focus the LED light for thransmitter and received !. Its a very long time ago do not know what year !.

But its true what people say maybe laser is cheaper !..

regards,

Paul.
