Unfortunately the big enough laminates are only found in microwave ovens and they are normally welded requiring a lot of precise and dangerous grinding or having to bend them to separate them. Are there any retailers which sell the actuarial E I lamination? That way I can just stack them however high I need them.

Greatly appreciated.

They are Not just Soft Iron, They are Silicon Steel Laminates.

If you know someone that has a Mill Machine, They could Remove that Weld.
Possibly a Machine Shop near to you.

I have a Mill, But You don't say Were you live.

I also have some Seperated E/I Laminates, about Half the size of the Microwave ones.

...I have a Mill...

Thanks however I realized E & I can be split with a good 4lb hammer + chisel and also separating individual laminations can be done in the same manner. I just had a bad experience the first time I took a mot apart. However I would still like to know how much those silicon steel laminations go for. Also I see you reside in Canada and I in Los Angeles, I also can employ a high powered dremmel since they are relatively safer than an angle grinder.

Do you know if cars have transformers similar to mots?

No large Transformers in Cars.
Also Most newer microwaves don't have transformers now.
(They use Switching power supplies.)

I found retailers unfortunately they provide product in mass and I would end up spending a minimum of ~$1000 for a ton. I will simply purchase used, relatively inexpensive transformers off ebay going for ~$20 and I can employ laminations from an alternator.

I dont see what we would talk about, unless you have a bunch of mots andcan sell some via ebay or something, let me know.

Alternators Laminations?, I Don't think so.

I Do have some E/I Laminates, But What are you trying to make?
Example: What Voltage and Current is Going In and What Coming Out?

And Why would I need to put them on Ebay?
I run a Website and sell electronic parts to people all over the world.

The Shipping Cost on Laminates is What Kills you.
