Re: free ide for C

7rots51,

I had the same problem a while ago and I am also using Ultraedit since then (for all the compilers that I am using).

The only drawback is that Ultraedit is not free ...

best regards

I try ultraedit and its very nice, I like it.

C-man can you adjuct to run some compiler (extern) from ultraedit. (Like you can compile project in MPlab with Hit_ech Pic_c)?

Tnx in adv.

Yes no problem I have HT-PICC, HT-PICC18, Keil, PC-Lint running under Ultraedit

All you have to do is to integrate them into the Extras Menu of Ultraedit (see Ultraedit doc how to do it).

C-Man,

I have ultraedit ver 10.10, but I cant find
Extras Menu of Ultraedit
nor I have doc in ultraedit folder
(see Ultraedit doc how to do it)

So, can you put some details (I'm interested for Keil and Hitech picc).

Tnx in adv.

Re: free ide for C

Try this editor/ide :

hXXp://www.med-editor.com/indexus.html

It has demo with only print function disabled, no time checking.
Very comfortable editor.

OK the manual can be found here:
https://www.ultraedit.com/downloads/uemanual.pdf

Sorry the Extras Menu is called Advanced Features in the English version of Ultraedit and can be found on page 107 of the above manual.

Should you still have problems contact me via PM.

best regards
