Looking For Finger Scanner For Public Finger Identification

Dear all member,
I want to design a database system for people in a area.
This data base will saving data-finger of every person, and
if want to search datas of a person, just plase finger to finger-scaner
and PC will search it for us. I was try finger-scanner from Suprema,co
but it is only 100 datas can be save .

Any bodhy here give me suggestion
what finger-scanner that I can use for above requirement.

It is not usually possible to have more than about 100 on a stand alone system, even with a fast mcu, it takes a few seconds to scan for a match. Much more than this and you would need connection to a fast central server. The usual way to get round this, is for each person to have their own PIN number to input before a finger scan, this way the unit only needs to scan for 1 match, rather than the whole database.

Look for digitalpersona
they have the U.are.U 2000 is a USB nice to use fingerprint reader
is around $100 . but the toolkit needs to be purchased separatly .
probably you can get it somewhere .

Yupp, digitalpersona is more powerfull then suprema.
but suprema is free SDK.

Can this suprema SDK used with other types of scanner also. I am looking
for some ocx function or algorithm which can compare the scanned images(bmp format) fast. Can anyone help in this regard.
