Looking for emulator for an embedded system

target188eb emulator

Hello,
I am new to embedded systems programming.
I have downloaded the following book :

Programming Embedded Systems in C and C++ by Michael Barr.

This book examples are targeted to a platform called : Target188EB

Does anyone know an emulator for this platform so that I can test the examples
on an emulator???

Does anybody advice me on another book. My major is Software Engineering
i know very little about Electronic and Microprocessors.
