adsl usb 2.0 chipset

I'm studying USB 2.0 and I'm planning to implement an USB 2.0 Interface card (associated with an ADSL Modem) using FPGA

Anybody here can share documents of USB 2.0 or ADSL modem! from beginner to expert.

Thank you very much!

Re: USB 2.0 and ADSL Modem

It is fairly tough to answer your question.

ADSL is a big topic, and so is USB 2.0.

If your purpose is in developping the card, then you don't need much
knowledge on USB 2.0. You need to buy some ADSL modem chipsets, a
USB chipset, and a CPLD/FPGA. Solder than together and play arround
with the datasheets to figure out the interface which is to be done in the
CPLD. You need to write a driver too...

You can't possibly design a USB 2.0 chip and an ADSL chip on your own if
your purpose is the card.

Re: USB 2.0 and ADSL Modem

What's the point of getting USB2.0 on an ADSL when the highest download rate is only 8Mbps. USB1.1 can handle it with some spare. All ADSL chipset these days have both Ethernet and USB1.1 already. Why wasting time.

Cheers.

Visit .. Opencores.org .. there is one USB 2.0 core already there .. ready to go!

Hi

For usb chips I think philips PDIUSBD12 is good you can check also FTDI chips ,but I think FTDI is limited.

Please give some chipset part number for ADSL .
