comparator

hello everyone:
Can someone introduce me some article or paper about comparator?

Re: comparator

just google it ...

u can find lot on various type of comparators...

for analog CMOS comparators u can see the Razavi ... seems to be good

Re: comparator

You could read allen holberg chapter on comparator, or in Baler li boyce

Re: comparator

here is a short description, but you need to be more specific:

a nominally analog differencing circuit, that may be operated in synchrony with a clock or asynchronously, incorporating sufficient gain to force the output signal into saturation. Such circuits are typically used to provide one or more of three indications, X>Y, X<Y or X=Y. By using multiple individual comparators in logic circuits, significant characterization of a large group of input signals can be provided.

Re: comparator

introduction to opamps and comparators by Roubik Gregorian available is very good and it is available in ebooks download forum.

the offset is important at the beginning of the comparison period. Due to the structure of a latched compartor (positive FeedBack), a small difference in its input should give an almost rail-to-rail output.
