You should best get started in learning a bit of VB.NET or VB Scripts as this is essential towards writting new macros or even understanding the already pre-installed macros. I agree with you that the supplied CST Advanced Manual doesn't go far enough. But, knowing how to program in VB.NET will help you go further. The key is to get familiar with the global variables and functions and procedures defined by the CST package. This can be learnt from going through all of the pre-installed macros. I hope this help!
