hi

i am looking for any schematic or guide for to make dc dc convertor for 24v to 12v with 8 amp out any idea or help

I used the WEBENCH from National Semiconductor:

After keying the specs, WEBENCH recommended the following design:

In the design, LM2642 was employed. I checked the websites of LM2642 ( **broken link removed** ) and found few application notes on this buck regulator. Hopefully it helps. :)

maybe you can use a normal regulator with additional transistors in parallel with it to carry the current.

If you follow advice from the last post you will built yourself a heater..

You can obviously construct a dc/dc converter but ... for about $30-50 you can get one of-the-shelf... hmmm...something to think about...
