Hello forum,

I am very interested in finding a transducer like the one in this picture https://www.lutins.co.uk/resonances/one-cymbal.JPG , and from what I've researched, it is named Tactile transducer, I would like to know if anyone knows where can I find such device and how can I imitate such assembly (yes, I want to experiment exciting a cymbal).

Thanks again!

(I'm not 100% sure if this post belongs to this category, sorry for any inconvenience)

I cannot see the black device sitting on a black table. Post a photo of it sitting on a white table.
A solenoid can ring a cymbal.

Or do you want a "speaker driver" that vibrates a wall or table? It can vibrate a cymbal. In Google a tactile transducer is called "a bass shaker".

I'd think anything from a servo-motor to solenoid to speaker driver to vibrating motor could be used.

No idea what the device is in the photo. Maybe contact the author, though it seems most of the links are bad.

A cymbal is struck on its edge to make clashing sounds. If it is pulsed at its center then it might simply make a "thump'"sound, not the clashing sounds from a cymbal.
