Variable Gain Amplifier

Does some one have recommend for 400MHz IF VGA,with analog voltage control and high linearity.dynamic range is 15dB and MAX have >10dBGain,also the price as lower as possible.

you can searching some component in ADI,MAXIM,RFMD.

Re: Variable Gain Amplifier

You can also make your own by putting a variable attenuator in front of a fixed gain amplifier.

Re: Variable Gain Amplifier

hi,

You can use an IC of analog device : AD8367

500Mhz / precise linear-dB gain control 45dB !!! < $5

Regards

Re: Variable Gain Amplifier

This one may be cheap ..( I guess it costs around <1$ for 10Kpcs)

**broken link removed**

I have try to use a buffer with attenuator ,but at maxim gain the attenuator is not linearity because Diode switch current is at skew.
So I think AD8367 and VG024 is good .
Any other?

search "rf" ,"pin diode" ,"attenuator" , on google. 4 diode,3 capacitor, 2 resistors makes the design. i am sorry but it is not handy with me just now.
