Hi everyone, I am trying to repair a circuit board that is about 10 years old which has a failed power supply module. The module in question is an ST Micro GS-R51212. It looks like a big heat sink that takes 40v max dc input and provides 2 12volt and one 5.1v outputs.

I can't seem to find the module in stock at any of the big providers so I am wondering what the experts would suggest. Could I just put a few 5 and 12v voltage regulators on the board to replace this? Is there anyone that stocks old parts who might have one in stock? Any other ideas?

The datasheet for the part in question can be found here.

"20W TRIPLE OUTPUT STEP-DOWN
SWITCHING REGULATOR"

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate your help. I sent an email to FarnellHK because the website says the part is no longer in stock, and the second link is referring to a different part all together.

Any more opinions?

Thanks for the links. I think I should be able to find something using the seekic.com website.

I am still open to any other opinions someone might have in the meantime.

@ R!f@@,
You can download it self pls from the shared links_or google...

the datasheet I linked to here https://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/stmicroelectronics/2678.pdf has a picture on the first page.

i am still having a hard time finding someone who will just sell me one module. I am interested if anyone thinks a 5.1voltage regulator and two 12volt ones would work to replace this whole unit.

thanks again.

OK,
but you should tell us the needed currents, temperature & max. mechanical volumen pls!

I would propose for you i.e. Traco`s TEN-40-4831(ev. 2431) nice product...
I have some in critical project from 5 & 10W versions _works perfect.

Wow, you are a genius! Ten40 looks like it would work perfectly. Any idea on where I could buy one?

Ask the firm self-their will be happy surly You have web addresse on the datasheet!
Greetings!
