Hi,

I would like to add full filled shape logo into my PCB design. I can do it if I import it from dxf file, but this is an empty model, so the logo is empty too. Then, at PCB proto is not well drawn.

After having tested several kind of tricks to be able to have the logo as I wanted, I need some help to get it.

First, the tricks tested:
  1. Modify the dxf with autocad, adding solid shading. Import dxf file. Import output dxf file to PCB editor -> Nothing changes, the logo is still empty.
  2. Modify the dxf with autocad, adding shape (ex. EARTH) shading. Import dxf file. Import output dxf file to PCB editor -> Nothing changes, the logo is still empty..
  3. On PCB Editor, open new Mechanical Symbol, import the logo dxf file. Compose every logo part separately as a shape at the proper class/subclass. Then, the logo is full filled. From board file, place mechanical symbol -> Mechanical symbol is not properly shown, and it is not able to be placed (Please, see picture attached).

Is there some way to import the dxf file properly?

Any help will be welcome.

can you share the DXF ? procedure you used looks ok

Hi,

Try to use Orcad's own logo import feature:
-Convert your logo to black&white BMP format
-Create new mechanical symbol
-File -> Import -> Logo

Regards

Hi LTimko,

thanks for your answer but logo is not generated as a solid image yet.
Even when the bmp has already solid characters.

I think it could be due to dxf file properties or similar.
