logic of three pin variable resistor device question

Hi,

pin 1 and 3 are the end pins of your resistor, so if you select a 10k version you will measure between this pins 10k. Pin#2 is the wiper, where you tap your variable resistance. Thy show how the resistance behave if you are tuning the potentiometer clockwise (CW) or counter-clockwise (CCW).
