Hi,
I got two LM3647 and built ELEKTOR Li-Ion charger but reading LM3647 National's datasheet realize that this is a versatile IC that can charge NiCd, NiMH, Li-ion and Lead Acid chemistries with some modifications so can someone help me to design a chemistry independent batery charger using LM3647?
Take a look at the expected specs:
Chemistry: NiCd, NiMH, Li-ion, Lead Acid;
Cell qty. NiCd/NiMH 1-10, Li-ion 1-4, Lead Acid or Sealed Lead Acid 6V or 12V;
Charge current: 1000mA - 4000mA adjustable with pot not steps;
Charge termination: NiCd/NiMH ΔV/Δt or ΔT/Δt (selectable), Li-ion, Lead Acid or Sealed Lead Acid 1/10 of max charge current;
Control with discrete ICs (CMOS series) and AMP-OPs;
Regards,
Fernando
