Hi,
Pages 8,9 and 61 (of the below) give the many advantages of doing a Half Bridge LLC with split resonant capacitors.
The best one to me sounds like the reduction in magnetising current peak at start-up, or during return from temporary shutdown.
They don’t give any disadvantages though…there must be some?…..what about if the tolerance of the two splits is different , and they present slightly different capacitance, then surely this will adversely affect things?
