Linux equivelent of WinRAR?

Is there a Linux soft that will unpack .RAR files?

Would be really handy for me if there is....

Yupp...it´s unrar and included in all major linux distributions...

What you want? A blown up graphic version which does nothing more than the console version?

yeah, it's cool.
it's free without any register code, not like windows version.
most important thing is you can use it, not how to use it.

I think that the "File Roller" is, by default, installed in RedH@t 8 or 9. I had used it several times. It works quite well. Just for your reference.
 

Your replies have helped me to choose the two mensioned above and I know that I don't like the CL much but I am determined to konqueror it. :roll:

There are times when one comes accross a RAR file or two whilst surfing and rather than unpack the things in windows, which of course means a reboot to the XP partition, it is much easier now to just do it in Linux. I agree that ZIP files are far easier but sometimes you don't have a choise.

What is about, if the RAR file is password protected ?
Can the unrar command manage this ?
