cellular interceptor linux

Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out.. I'm quite interested in GSM networks and after doing a number of google searches among others for GSM call Interceptors i pulled up this site..

http://www.global-security-solutions.com/GSMPassiveCellularInterceptor.htm

As you can tell from this site all the Cellular Interceptor seems to be is any normal laptop computer with some kind of RF Receiver interface, Maybe some hardware decoding or maybe software based even.. Most of these systems seem to use windows tho

Anyways does anyone know of any Software Developers that create this software or are there any known open source projects.. as I'm sure this would make a great project for educational experimentation..

I look forward to your input.. :D:D
